Born in Venezuela to Dominican parents, Elvi migrated to the United States at the age of six and was raised in the Boogie Down Bronx. Elvi is a first-generation graduate. A leader in the Energy Industry, a Trauma Informed Yoga Instructor and Published Runway and Print Model since 2018.  Elvi is a Mother first, leader, and advocate that enjoys giving back to her community through Trauma Informed classes. She is a published model and philanthropist. Having the opportunity to transform her own trauma through the practice of Yoga and the Runway, Elvi truly believes in empowering under-represented minority groups through mentoring, advocacy, movement, breath work and holistic health.

Achievements:

Elvi is a Multi-Award winner in the Energy Industry. In 2023 she was the recipient of the Expanding Excellence "Rising Star Award" for CS Week and "Latin Impact Award" for Schnneps Media. In 2022 Elvi was recognized as a "Latin Achiever Award Honoree" for Aspira of NY these awards were achieved for her work with helping move the needle for under-represented communities within the Disability, Hispanic and LGBTQ communities.

Education

Elvi received her Bachelor in Business Management from Monroe College in 2006 and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership at Manhattan College in 2019. Elvi obtained her 200-hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training certificate through Sweet Water Dance and Yoga Studio in the Bronx in 2019. In addition, she attended a 40-hour training on trauma-sensitive yoga instruction through Exhale to Inhale and a 35-hour Continuing Education Lit Yoga training on Herbalism and Plant medicine and alternate healing modalities. Elvi has a Reiki 1 attunement. Reiki is a Japanese form of alternative medicine called energy healing.
